Arne has over 34 years of experience as an Architect and Construction Project Leader. Arne’s greatest strengths lie in his communications skills and his ability to extract the best from all parties in the design and construction process.

His long experience in the New York / New Jersey region includes substantial, recent experience in both public and private sectors. Project types include corporate and institutional buildings, multi-family housing, and public agency facilities – both new and renovation.
Arne’s clients include the New York City Housing Authority; Federal GSA; the State of New Jersey SDA; Time Equities; Independence Harbor Condo Assn.; Franklin Township Board of Ed.; JPMorgan Chase, amongst others.

Arne holds a BA in Architecture from the Pratt Institute, NY. Prior to joining ShapiroCM in 2003, he worked in Manhattan for over 25 years with Heery; Swanke Hayden & Connell; and AJ Contracting. In 1968, he participated in the Woodstock music festival, and earned a cameo dance role in the film “Woodstock”.

Mark Boatright

Mark is a Licensed Professional Engineer from the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Mark has 20 years of direct experience in the A&E environment.  He has experience as a Mechanical HVAC Engineer on LEED Silver Design projects. He has worked on both Multi-Use Residential Design projects and Construction Administration works.  Mark has basic AutoCad skills and drafting oversight coordination. Mark has experience in Project Budgeting, Value Engineering, and Cost Estimation. He was involved in the development of Life Cycle Cost Analysis and System Comparisons. Mark has commissioned TAB Report Review, Alnor Flow Hood Testing.  New Project and Renovation Project Design Experience.

Mark has his Bachelor of Science and Mechanical Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University.

With over seven years of experience in Business Management with Accenture, Holly joined ShapiroCM in 2015 as Business Manager.

Holly’s experience has focused on implementation of business efficiency and revenue growth via positive operational change and program management.

Holly’s role as Business Manager for ShapiroCM encompasses Business Development as well as support of Finance, Operations, and Human Resources.

Holly holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Bucknell University.

Dennis Kapsaskis

Dennis is a seasoned Senior CM Project Manager, proficient in all aspects of building design and construction. He brings 25+ years of high level experience in all facets of public and private sector project design and development, including Construction Management and general contracting for buildings, civil / infrastructure and MEP disciplines.  His project leadership experience has provided him with strong skills and effective decision making on both new constructions as well as renovations.

As an owner of his own GC and CM business for 14 years, Dennis’s understands both the “big picture” of contract obligations, as well as the detail that enables deadlines to be met in a timely fashion.

Dennis has a BS in Construction Engineering Technology from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Elizabeth LaMontagne

Elizabeth is proficient in MEP Systems design, construction, and CM services. She brings 10+ years of experience in public agency and corporate construction project delivery and energy efficiency programs for the build environment. She has worked as a CM Project Engineer and Project Manager on multi-million dollar buildings programs, incorporating civil / infrastructure and MEP disciplines. Her project experience has provided her with strong communication skills and effective decision making on projects, both new and renovation.

Her strong suit lies in her ability to understand both the “big picture” of contract obligations, as well as the detail that enables deadlines to be met in a timely fashion.

Robert Lautato

Rob has 20 years of diversified major building project experience throughout the Metro NY region.

He has served as: Project Manager/Owners Rep. on the interior rehabilitation of the Westin NY Hotel in Times Square; Project Manager on multiple new high-end residential properties in Greenwich, CT; Project Manager on commercial projects for various NYC agencies (DDC & SCA) and private owners including a new $20MM Fire/EMT station in Staten Island, rehabilitation of a 6 story recreation center in Chelsea, upgrade of electrical service in over 100 NYC schools and renovations of over 100 apartments in Peter Cooper Village/Stuyvesant Town for MetLife.

A resident of Bayville, NY, Robert holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from NYIT in Westbury, NY.

Rob’s perennial optimism is linked to his lifetime support of the NY Mets.

Joe Matarazzo

Raised in a design architecture and construction contracting family, Joe has worked closely with project service professionals and tradesmen across active construction sites in Somerset and Hunterdon Counties (NJ). He has gained solid background in construction activities and performance. His construction field inspection skills are supported by knowledge of cuttings edge software and internet-based project management tools, which he has applied on the National Archives project in Manhattan.

Jay Shapiro PE

Jay Shapiro has over 30 years of experience in building design and construction. Prior to launching ShapiroCM, from 1996-2002, he was NY/NJ Vice President for Heery International – a national A/E – CM firm.

From 1988-1996, he was Vice President and NJ Manager for Tishman, one of the nation’s premier CM firms. He has successfully delivered projects large and small, including commercial, institutional (K-12, Higher Ed, Healthcare), and multi-family residential.

Jay holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University, Canada, an MSCE from NJIT, and an MBA from the Stern School of NYU. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York and New Jersey. Jay’s formative years through high school were spent overseas. He maintains dual US-UK citizenship.

Louise Shapiro

As Director in the ownership of ShapiroCM, Louise Shapiro jointly sponsored the launching of the firm in 2002.

She has continuously supported the firm in areas of finance and sales, and maintains an active role in the well-being of the firm and its employees.

In her recent career as an educator, Louise worked on behalf of the Somerset Hills Board of Education. She had been a public school teacher in New Jersey for over 25 years.

Louise holds a BA from Stonehill College, Mass., and an MA from Seton Hall University, NJ.

With Jay, Louise raised three children: Heather, Holly and Marc, who currently reside in California, New York City, and New Hampshire, respectively

Paul Sofinski

Paul has over 20 years of experience in building projects as a project manager, assistant project manager, and superintendent on projects for adaptive reuse of historic buildings, fit out of retail, hospitals, higher education, research facilities, underground utilities and site work. He has procured contracts and construction materials, performed scheduling, quality and safety control of multi-disciplined, multi-million-dollar public and private projects. He has demonstrated proficiency in management of projects budgets, payments, change orders, and closeout in compliance with contract documents.

Wayne Vitale

Wayne has 25 years of diversified building construction experience in New York.

He has served as Construction Project Manager for JLA Home Furnishings in Manhattan, a 21,000 SF retail showroom and office space build out project; Construction Project Manager for Bethpage Federal Credit Union in Seaford, NY where he was responsible for a 5,500SF renovation. He also worked as Construction Project Manager on a variety of jobs for Port Construction Company in Setauket, NY Elmont Union School District, Elmont, NY, a new 12,000SF office space in Hauppauge, NY, and industrial lab and kitchen space for Kozy Shack of Hicksville, NY.

He holds a Bachelor of Science from SUNY, New Paltz, NY. He is also a licensed Suffolk County General Contractor and OSHA Certified.

In his spare time, Wayne holds a leadership position with the Beekeeper’s Association on Long Island.

Alan Walker

Alan is a LEED accredited professional and registered architect with 26 years experience working on complex building types. He is a Project Manager, Architect and planner with a proven track record of delivering multi-discipline projects on schedule, within budget and with a high level of customer satisfaction. His project experience includes planning, design development, and construction documentation and construction administration.

Based in the D.C. Metro region, he currently performs Facility Surveys for the DOL’s Job Corps Centers, nationwide.

Howard Youmans

A 30 year industry veteran, Howard’s duties have included facilities maintenance oversight over 11 of the nation’s 122 Job Corps Centers consisting of over 300 buildings and structures, including 12 cafeterias, 40 dorms, and many other buildings that make up the typical campus setting.

He has served as head of the architect / engineer selection committee, with responsibilities that have included: Preparing the “Design Scope of Work,” negotiating the design cost with the AE, and coordinating the design process and the awarding of AE and construction contracts. He has experience monitoring design and construction contracts throughout the project, managing schedules and updates, maintaining the project budget, approving payment applications, and contract modifications.
